Building Collaborative Capacity in Philanthropy
FastRoots helps community foundations and their grantees learn faster, connect more deeply, and demonstrate collective outcomes.
OUR MISSION
Built for Transformation, Not Just Transactions
Traditional grant management systems are built for transactions, not transformation. We believe foundations deserve better tools to coordinate ecosystems, not just manage grants.
FastRoots makes it simple for foundations and grantees to share data once, support peer learning, and generate evidence of collective impact that no single organization could produce alone.
OUR STORY
Born from Necessity in Western North Carolina
FastRoots was born from necessity during the relief efforts following Hurricane Helene in Western North Carolina.
When four separate funders were supporting multiple food relief organizations with zero coordination, the gaps became painfully clear. Grantees were overwhelmed reporting the same data to multiple funders. Funders couldn't identify service gaps or prevent duplication. Nobody had a complete picture of who was serving where.
We built FastRoots to solve this coordination crisis. Within six months, those same organizations were reporting through one platform, forming new partnerships, and generating the region's first collective impact report.
That experience showed us what's possible when we design technology for collaboration, not just compliance.
OUR VALUES
What Guides Our Work
Traditional grant management systems are built for transactions, not transformation. We believe foundations deserve better tools to coordinate ecosystems, not just manage grants.
FastRoots makes it simple for foundations and grantees to share data once, support peer learning, and generate evidence of collective impact that no single organization could produce alone.
Transparency
Grantees see how their information contributes to collective insights, not just funder requirements.
Collaboration
We design for shared learning and peer connection, not top-down control.
Impact
Every feature helps philanthropy move faster toward measurable community outcomes.
Grantee-Centered
We reduce reporting burden while increasing value for the organizations doing the work.
